The Sacred Lore
In the beginning, there was the Great Bloom—a single, magnificent flower that contained all the magic of the world. When it bloomed for the first time, its petals scattered across the land, each one taking root and giving birth to a new flower realm.
Five petals fell in five lands, and from each petal grew a sacred flower that would define its realm forever. The Five Queens became the remembered name for the heroines chosen by these flowers, even when their formal duties differed from one realm to another.
Eternal Bloom is an ancient ritual that freezes the body in time, granting effective immortality to the recipient. Those who receive it never age, though they can still die from injury or violence.
The ritual requires immense mana and is reserved only for those with exceptional magical gifts—queens, seers, guardians, inventors, and those whose abilities are deemed essential to their realms. Some recipients have lived for over a century, accumulating wisdom and power beyond mortal understanding.
Only those with truly exceptional gifts qualify: Jasmine with her prophecy, Maya with her healing, Kaede with her shadow protection, and Yume with her inventions. Rosa remains the only mortal among the Five. Rhazenthir's Eternal Bloom is not a clean heroic ritual; it happened accidentally through a scheme around the Blight.
Blight began as a plague and corruption that devastated Verdania. Virethra's survivors later learned to weaponize it into a biological ritual. When activated, the user's body transforms: muscles swell grotesquely, black veins spread across the skin, eyes become pools of darkness. The transformation grants immense power, but at a terrible cost—the user's remaining lifespan.
Rhazenthir Velkra leads the Virethra survivors, but even he does not understand the full ancient force behind the original plague. His agents have attacked villages, ambushed travelers, and threatened the Five Queens' conference.
The public story must treat the ancient source of Blight as a hidden force. Foreshadow it through corrupted flowers, missing memories, and unnatural despair, but do not reveal the mastermind too early.
Each heroine possesses magic tied to her realm's sacred flower. This magic is not learned but inherited—a bond between heart and bloom that cannot be broken.
The strength of flower magic depends on emotional state and connection to people. One heroine standing alone is vulnerable; the Five Queens standing together are unstoppable.
Each flower grants different abilities: • Rose - Strength, protection, thorned barriers • Magnolia - Healing, restoration, pain absorption • Ylang-Ylang - Light, invention, energy conversion • Jasmine - Foresight, wisdom, extended life • Kamboja - Shadow, stealth, concealment
Meet the five queens whose stories shape this world.
